Clinical usability first
If a nurse needs three taps at 3 a.m., three taps is the design budget. Workflows are built around the shift, not the database schema.
Data privacy by design
Patient data is encrypted, access is role-based and every action is logged. Privacy is an architectural decision, not a settings page.

Where it came from
We learned this the hard way
We spent years auditing DRG billing records — more than seven million of them by mid-2023. Doing that at scale makes one thing obvious: a large share of billing problems are documentation problems wearing a different hat.
If the ward round is captured badly, everything downstream inherits the damage — the coding, the invoice, and the letter the GP receives. So in 2020 we started building forward from the bedside instead.
